iRubric: Soccer rubric

Student Cannot keep the ball in front of them while advancing the ball. Student has no, or very little control while dribbling and keeps their head down most of the time.

Student has control of the ball most of the time. Ball stays in front of student while advancing but still kicks ball to far out in front while dribbling. Student getting comfortable with keeping head up for open players.

Student keeps ball close to his/her feet while dribbling. Student keeps their head up and can see open players and looks down at the ball only when necessary.

Student just kicks the ball as hard as they can without aiming. Student kicks the ball with their toe and keeps their head down through the whole process.

Student shoots with the inside of their foot to increase accuracy. Student looks up at the goal to see where they want to place the ball but student still having trouble putting the ball where they want it.

Student shoots the ball using the inside of their foot and can place the ball on the left or right side of the net according to the goalies possition. Student does not need to look down for long periods of time and leg follows throught the shot and results in a little hop after each good shot.
