Pitching and Fielding	Emerging Introduction to the basic technique of throwing and catching	Beginning Level 4 Some of the time shows some of the basic technique. Is sometimes successful with throwing and catching. Is beginning to know how to stand and hold their arms when preparing to pitch. Is beginning to know where to stand when fielding.	Middle Level 4 Most of the time displays the time shows the correct technique for throwing and catching. Opposite leg to arm. Is successful with throwing and catching the majority of the time	End Level 4 Always demonstrates the correct technique in throwing and catching. Nearly always successful with throwing and catching at distance and during pressure games.
Striking	Emerging Learning stance needs more practice with hand-eye coordination and timing.	Beginning Level 4 Some of the time shows the correct stance and has some hand-eye coordination to hit large balls. Is beginning to identify how to hold the bat when preparing to strike.	Middle Level 4 Most of the time shows the correct stance and can hit medium size balls the majority of the time	End Level 4 Always shows the correct stance and can regularly hit small balls into space.
