-Does not have good control<BR>
-Cannot dribble with head up<BR>
-Sometimes dribbles with finger pads
- Student can dribble with one hand
Good- Ready to Play

Student can dribble the basketball with good control and proper positioning<BR>
-Student dribbles with head up<BR>
-Student dribbles with finger pads, knees bent<BR>
-Able to pivot while dribbling
- Student can maintain control with both hands
Excellent-Exceeds Expectations

Student can dribble the basketball with excellent control, proper positioning, and both hands<BR>
- student dribbles with head up, finger pads, knees bent
-Preform crossover with control and back dribble
Shooting

Needs Improvement- Satisfactory

-Student cannot shoot the ball successfully. <BR>
-Student does not follow through.<BR>
-Student uses two hands to shoot
Fair- Developing

Student can sometimes shoot the ball successfully. <BR>
-Student sometimes follows through.<BR>
-Student uses two hands instead of one to shoot, "guide hand does not stay in "high five".
Good- Ready to Play

Student shoots the ball correctly. <BR>
-Student follows through.<BR>
-Student is usually successful in shooting.
- Shoots with one hand, guide hand stays in "high five".
Excellent-Exceeds Expectations

Student shoots the ball demonstrating the "BEEEF" technique<BR>
-Bend/Balance, Elbow, Eyes, Extend, Follow-through<BR>
- student demonstrates excellent accuracy
- Shoots with one hand, guide hand stays in "high five".
Passing

Needs Improvement- Satisfactory

-Student cannot pass the ball successfully<BR>
-student does not follow through on pass<BR>
-student cannot get the pass to teammates<BR>
-student does not make sure the pass recipient is ready for the ball

Lay- Ups

-Student cannot demonstrate a proper lay-up.
-Has difficulty performing the proper 2 step approach after many attempts.
-Loses control of the ball.
Fair- Developing

-Student can sometimes demonstrate proper lay-ups.
-Can occasionally perform proper 2 step approach.
-Scoring lay-ups is inconsistent.
-Student attempts to use proper form on one or both sides.
Good- Ready to Play

-Student demonstrates proper lay-ups
-Student uses correct 2 step approach.
-Student usually finds success in scoring lay-ups
- Student demonstrates proper technique on both side, correct hands and feet.
Excellent-Exceeds Expectations

Student consistently finds success and is able to make a lay-up with and without the backboard.
- Uses left hand on left side with the proper technique.
- Has proper 2 step approach on both sides.
Conditioning

Needs Improvement- Satisfactory

Student can not keep up with drills.
- Needs to constantly stop or cannot complete drills.
Fair- Developing

Student is significantly behind in drills.
- Occasionally needs to stop.
Good- Ready to Play

Student is conditioned well, keeps up with other students in drills.
- Student rarely needs to slow down.
Excellent-Exceeds Expectations

Student has little to no issues with completing drills.
- Does not stop or slow down during drills.
