Stipple Value Drawing
Stipple Value Drawing
Students will select a photograph with a strong contrast between light and dark values/shades. They can edit or crop the photo if desired. The photos and drawing paper are set up with corresponding grids. After drawing the portrait in pencil, students use pens and markers to build form through value and stippling. They should strive to include a variety of value, and detail.
