Soccer Skills Assessment on Performance of CE (Rubric) 
Students will be assessed on their performance of the main critical elements of each skill in soccer: pass, shoot, dribble, throw-in, and goalie punt.

Critical elements:
1. Alignment to the ball – behind the ball 180 degrees
2. Grounded foot (plant foot) placed to either the left or right of ball 6- 12 inches away
3. Knees bent holding weight forward
4. Contact foot turned out, uses inside of foot – ankle locked
5. Contact leg drawn backward from hip (follow through)

2. Contact leg drawn backward from hip (follow through)
3. Swing through the back of the ball (center of ball)
4. Chest forward over the ball
5. Land contact foot forward in front of body – whole body moves forward

4. Knees bent while moving
5. Alignment to the ball – behind ball prior to contact

1. Hold ball in front of body with 2 hands at hip height
2. Step with non contact foot
3. Release ball downwards towards the ground
4. Swing contact foot to ball and follow through with leg swinging up
5. Make contact in the middle near the bottom of the ball
