Rehearsal - Introduction to the Arts Rehearsal - Introduction to the Arts This is a rubric for students who are just beginning their study of theatre. This rubric is generic to encompas all types of scenes, including mime, improvisation and short scenes from plays. Rehearsal Process
	Not Meeting 1 pts	Working Towards 2 pts	Meeting 3 pts
Time on Task	Not Meeting - Conversations about the scene is minimal Students wander during the rehearsal time	Working Towards Conversations not about the scene are heard. Conversations with other students are heard	Meeting All of rehearsal time is used to develop the scene.
Experimentation	Not Meeting - No experimentation is seen. Once the scene is done, nothing new is added	Working Towards Some experimentation is observed Minimal changes are made in the scene over time	Meeting Problem solving is used as a part of experimentation The scene changes as it is rehearsed.
Repitition	Not Meeting Lines and actions are not learned.	Working Towards Line and/or actions are sometimes repeated	Meeting Lines and/or actions are repeated until they are memorized- and are second nature.
