Communication Studio students will write a critique of the video

Students will deliver a speech that is at least 4-6 minutes in length that demonstrates a skill of the student's choosing. The skill must be appropriate for a school setting and demonstrate some originality.

Students will demonstrate the ability to make decisions and set goals to enhance health. Students will identify a personal health goal and outline the process of achieving the goal using the SMART goal acronym. Students will define the goal,step by step, and keep track of their progress using the SMART outline. Students will reflect on whether they achieved the goal or how they will adjust it to keep working on it through reflection questions.

Students will create a 30-60 second commercial selling a product to a targeted audience

Create a map of an imaginary town. You will need to give the town a name, include at least 4 roads, 5 buildings , and 1 park. In the description you will need to :1. Describe the town including where at least 5 places are located. The map can be drawn on paper (min. 8 1/2 x 11; max poster board). You will need to include color and pictures.

Final Requirement in GEPCM01X. A pair of students create an advocacy campaign based on the Prob-Sol Outputs. It a 2-minute and 30 seconds campaign that showcases the goal of spreading awareness about the advocacy.

By 3/10/2026, Sebastian will 1) determine if it is an appropriate time to approach a communication partner, 2) greet the adult/peer appropriately, and 3) use 2-3 conversational turns to transition conversation and end the communication interaction appropriately (before walking away) in 80% of opportunities measured SLP-provided rubric completed by staff.

In your group, using a variety of persuasive techniques create an extraordinary commercial for your unique product. All participants must either work to create the script and/or be in the ad. The ad must be at least 1 minute long. Your final product must be in mp3 format or youtube video.
