Technology Research Rubric

The rubric is used to appraise the introductory to your mini-research/thesis project. Your mini-research proposal introduction will specify a topic of interest; identifies a problem; proposes a need for a study; formulates a research hypothesis or research question, and provides preliminary background data of the proposed project.

For this project, students will use their drawing skills, Oil Painting techniques, color theory knowledge, and the rule of thirds to create a dynamic painting.

This is the rubric we will use to judge the holiday door decorating contest. ***Guidelines: This year's theme is entitled "Holidays Around the World". Classes should design doors that reflect all winter holidays (Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanzaa, and Winter Solstice) -Classes may decorate their doors starting 12/1/2010-12/9/2010. -Judging will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 9th. Non-classroom staff will conduct the judging and the winners (one MS and one HS class) will be announced on Friday. The winners will receive a pizza party!!!! -Please see Ms. Miller with any questions or concerns :-)

Mandala project

This rubric is used for a two-point perspective drawing

You will be writing an alternate ending to the play "Only Drunks and Children Tell the Truth". This will be written in script style as one scene, using script formatting. This includes stage directions and narration. Your script should be 3 pages minimum and written in Times New Roman size 12 font. With the play being written as a satire, your scene should include satire as well (the use of humor, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule to expose and criticize ).

This rubric will be used to judge the door decorating contest. ***Guidelines: Reused items or things from around the house should be used. Classes should design classroom that reflect Christmas.

To demonstrate how well you understand the structure and theme of the Narrative, add a supplement to the text (such as a chapter or alternative ending), or write a summary of the text in a different POV or different purpose.

Students will know classwork expectations, which would include completeness, accuracy, requirements, legibility, and time management.

Students will create a comic strip based on a Greek myth.
