This rubric goes with your presentation comparing/contrasting the US and the former British colony that you researched.

Students may complete weekly current events using the following rubric as part of their Current Events Bonus Weekly Submission

This rubric will be used to assess your ability correctly fill in a KWL graphic organizer.

The student will interpret and analyze a political cartoon.

Political cartoon to represent current issues. Students will be graded on Images, neatness, spelling/grammar, presentation, listening and speaking skills.

Students will research information on a group that moved to the West in the 1800s. Students will present a mini-skit to show the reasons the group moved to the West, the hardships they faced, and the legacies they left.

Students research an important historical figure from the pre-Civil War era, and create a graphic organizer and a writing piece about the person chosen.

This rubric is used in a Middle School American History class. Students use a Current Events Report Form to document their assignment.

Students will collect, organize, and display data using a Venn diagram with the two most popular places to visit.

Student will write diary entries as someone from an under represented group (child, woman, indentured servant, Native American, slaves or working class) in the United States in 1763-1815. The purpose of this assignment is to describe what happened to you and your family during the time referenced. You will write three separate journal entries that are at least one page long. Across the journal entries you may address the following ideas/issues.
