1 rubric Class Participation Grade Criteria       popup preview
Below is a chart that shows you exactly how your class participation grade will be evaluated. All students are expected to participate in class! Students should understand that their participation mark begins at 0 and then is built up through active participation. Students DO NOT automatically recieve a perfect participation mark at the beginning of the term and then "lose points" through non-participation.

17 rubric Class Participation Grade       popup preview
(20 POINTS - 4 points each section) Below is a chart that shows you exactly how your class participation grade will be determined. All students are expected to participate in class! I do understand that some students are shy and participate in ways other than class discussion. Forms of participation other than participating in class discussion (although this is a primary form of participation) include coming to me for extra help, giving other students feedback in class, adhering to the no-voice and no-phone rule, consistent attendance. NOTE: If you get to the point of having a fair/poor participation grade in one or more areas, it will probably be recommended that you call your parent.

18 rubric Professional presentation       popup preview
A distinct social work skill is the art of the professional presentation. Social workers are called upon to make presentations to clients, constituents, Boards of Directors, grantors, and/or legislators in practice. This will be a substantive presentation regarding your evaluation project in your agency setting or another topic as approved by the instructors. You will be expected to make a 20 minute presentation, with handouts and audio-visual support in order to best communicate the content that you are presenting.
