This rubric is meant to help guide in the creation of your PowerPoint presentation project. Each category in the far left column represents a component of the project that will be taken into consideration when calculating the final grade for this assignment. Review the rubric carefully before, during and after the creation of the PowerPoint presentation, to ensure that all intended elements of your PowerPoint have been represented and all other criteria have been met.

Submit one 3-5 page typed paper, double spaced, 12 point font following MLA guidelines. Include a bibliography citing at least 3 resources used researching the paper. You are encouraged to interject your personal opinion into this paper. Paper will be graded on quality of research to support the topic, effective use of information gained through research, credibility of sources, content, grammar and mechanics, and bibliography. Write a Personal Narrative Essay about an important,life-changing event from your life. Describe your memorable event in chronological order. Use the literary element flashback as an introduction technique. Include reactions in your personal narrative such as dialogue and emotions. Include a reflection in your essay on what you learned from this experience. Your personal narrative should be a five paragraph essay with an introduction, three body paragraphs, and a conclusion.

Students can write dialogue using the appropriate guidelines from the mini lessons.

Student will create a food web consisting of animals found in a specific biome that they choose. The student must name the animals, describe their habitat, identify the biotic factors in the habitat, show the flow of energy in the food web, classify the organism as producer, consumer, or decomposer; and indicate how the organism obtains its energy. Please be creative. Use a poster board and cut-outs from a magazine, clip art or draw to demonstrate your food chain.

Create an annotated family tree/character map for the characters in Hamlet. Your character map must show relationships between characters.
