Each project has specific goals, skills, vocabulary & procedure. The following rubric can be used as both a critiquing and an evaluation guide.

Students use their fingers and at least two other household tools to create colorful, textured paintings that show a place they visit in their imagination. Students learn about color relationships, and use at least three colored paints and at least three different scraping tools (including their fingers) to create a unified composition. Students will complete their piece by adding their “Artist’s Signature,” otherwise known as their name. Students will verbally share about the places they have created, and how the shapes, colors, and textures in their composition create a sense of place within each painting.

A rubric that properly evaluates the artistic and technical process. It measures the various phases and approaches that are necessary in the assessment of creating a pop up greeting card.

Students will create a minimum of three pieces of jewellery using recycled materials such as aluminium cans, paper, rubber, fabrics, plastic etc. Students need to be creative in their design, while building recycled pieces of jewellery that show their understanding of the practical needs of constructing successful pieces of wearable jewellery.
