Religion is an important force that shapes the manner in which people respond towards the world around them. Your group's presentation should include: • Historical background information • Basic belief system (one god, many gods, etc.) • Sacred texts • Key leaders • Sacred spaces and places • Rituals, services, or ceremonies • Symbolism • Holidays, festivals and celebrations • Demographics (how many people are members of this religion, what parts of the world, etc.)

This activity allows students to research and identify various aspects of some of the major world religions including Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Judaism. Students will use the World Wide Web to conduct research, recording their findings in Microsoft Word or Power Point and complete a visual display of the information they find.

Your task: Assume the role of President of the United States. Using your background knowledge, your notes and what you learned from the documentary, propose a diplomatic solution to end Isis.

Students will create a Facebook page for a chosen character in Greek Mythology.
