Find a current (no more than 6 months old) technology-related article on the internet from a reliable source (.org, .gov, .edu,) or a recognized newspaper or magazine (NY times-OK, Enquirer-Not OK). If taken from the internet should be downloaded and printed out or emailed to me. Write at least 2 paragraphs summarizing the article (including WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN, WHY, HOW) if applicable.) Your summary should be typed in Times New Roman Font Size 12. Make sure your name and class period is on your summary.

9 rubric ESSM NHS Rubric-Sophomore       popup preview  
Students are eligible for induction into the National Honor Society starting in the 2nd semester of their sophomore year. Student must have an 85 GPA (not rounded) in order to be considered. Students will be required to fill out the student activity information form, gather teacher recommendations, and write a paragraph detailing how he/she exemplifies 3 or more character traits. All materials will be given to students and must be submitted by the due date. The gathered information will then be scored using the NHS rubric. Students will be informed by letter during spring break whether they were accepted or not. The induction ceremony will be in the spring.
