Assessment of flip book on inventions in transportation that changed America

Using what you learned from the Desktop Publishing Tutorial, create a one-page newsletter that introduces you to your students and your students' parents (to be used during student teaching or teaching). Requirements include: multiple article sections, use of your picture, use of clipart, use of WordArt for the title, page border, drop caps, newspaper columns, and text wrapping around your picture and/or other graphics. Print the newsletter using a color printer.

Students objective is to present a well organized essay showing the cause and effect of a period in American History

Students will create a research paper with three components. There is to be a written report, visual presentation, and an oral report.

Student will demonstrate understanding of an important topic of study in Social Studies

Students will work in pairs one student will write a message and transform it into Morse Code. The other student will receive the Morse Code message and translate it into English and then respond to the message in Morse Code. The first student will then transform the Morse Code message in English.

Each student is to create a Facebook page using biographical information gathered in the their research. The research should include the personal information, qualities, and contribution. This Facebook page is an imaginary recreation of the "Social Network." The first page should be the profile page and the next few pages will be a conversation between the student and the person they have created the page for. Each student is responsible for five well developed questions and responses.
