Students will review all documents, articles and videos pertaining to the extinction of the Woolly mammoth. They will then write a 5-paragraph informative essay detailing what scientists believe is the reason for the demise of the animals, and culminate their essay with a short explanation of their own theory for mammoths' extinction.

Research a country from North America (you may not choose the United States) or Latin America. Explore many different aspects of your country, including, its HISTORY, GEOGRAPHY, CULTURE, and INTERESTING FACTS.

Students will create a map that details the journey from their house to a favorite location in their community

Students will write a persuasive essay in which they state their position on an issue, and persuade readers to consider viewing the issues related to that issue from their perspective. They will include two reasons to support their position, and support them well with details or examples.

Students will choose a country in North or South America. Through research they will find the country's flag, three different recipes from that country, the currency, short biography of person or symbol on the currency, map of the country, 5 facts, puctures of culture. The are to work in a timely manner and particpate in a "Taste of the Americas" event at school. They will particpate in preparation, during the event, and clean up.
