Students began with a directed draw of the basic turkey. Students then created designs and used either colored pencil, crayon, or marker to create a bright, bold folk art turkey. Students completed the project by outlining the main elements with black.

The following guidelines are for use in evaluating a five-paragraph format essay.

Define, list part of speech, syllables and draw a meaningful picture for each vocabulary word. Write a sentence for each of the vocabulary words. All sentences must begin with a capital letter and have proper end punctuation. Start each sentence on a new line. Number all sentences. Underline the vocabulary word. Make sure you have a proper heading with the date at the top of your paper.

Students create block letters of his/her first name, fills the negative space with pastel designs, and uses water color paint to fill in the positive space.
