Class Participation Grade Criteria
Below is a chart that shows you exactly how your class participation grade will be evaluated. All students are expected to participate in class! Like any good tourist, you must prepare yourself before you visit in order to get the most from your trip! You will need to research your country to learn about their culture, weather & climate, currency of the country, religion, foods, housing, famous landmarks and government. Divide up the work with your partner to complete Part 1 (RESEARCH & FORMAT), Part 2 (DRAW IT!) - Map & Flag and Part 3 (Oral Presentation) - Speaking & Culture

You will create a powerpoint in Spanish that describes your family members. This could be your actual family or a made up family. You will create a minimum of 6 slides and a maximum of 10. You will include information such as where they are from (ser), what they like to do (2), what they don't like to do(2), their age (tener), how you and the person are related, complete sentences of two activities that they do, and one that they don't do. Make sure to include two adjectives that describe them and two that don't. You will include an image for each slide. The picture does not have to be the actual person. You will then narrate your family descriptions in Spanish and record them.

Una Identidad Nueva
You will take on a new identity. You will prepare a powerpoint presentation. Presentation must contain a minimum of 10 slides. You are now from a Spanish speaking country of your choice. Create an authentic name for yourself, describe yourself, tell where you live, where you go to school and what classes you take. Describe a class and the teacher of that class. Show some friends and describe them. Show some school supply items and clothing items you need for back to school and the prices of those items in the currency of your country. How do you get to school, what activities you do in the classroom? You have a new family. Create parents, grandparents, siblings and of course a pet. Tell the ages of some of your family members. Show the house you all live in and give a description of the house and the rooms. What do you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Pictures you use must be authentic and culturally appropriate. Provide accurate, detailed and creative descriptions.
