Students will log 3 meals per day, including snacks and beverages for 4 consecutive weeks. After 2 weeks, they will analyze nutrition intake using Canada’s Food Guide as a reference. They must include number of servings, identify food group and protein and carbohydrate intake. Then, they summarize their log, critique their diet and recommend any alterations their diet may require. After, they complete final 2 weeks of log and repeat the summary process, noting any improvements or regression. Then, they create a personal optimum health 3 day meal plan, including snack and beverages. Finally, they attend a virtual class dinner party with an optimum health snack to share and discuss with their classmates.
