Hispanic Heritage Month Project
You will create a poster, oral presentation, and graphic organizer around a famous Hispanic figure. You must talk about their background (ex where they are from, childhood, upbringing etc), obstacles they had to endure, What important contributions they made to society, and why you chose this person. You must include pictures.

Power point Calendar on festivals and celebrations in Spain
Students will create a power point calendar presentation on festivals and celebrations in Spain. The project must include the month of July. In July, one of the festivals must be "San Fermin". There should be 3 months total and 2 festivals per month, with the date and description of the event. There must be pictures for each event.

Spanish TV show skit - Due May 19
In groups of 2-4, create a Spanish television show from our unit and create a 4-6 minute skit. Use Spanish you know and you can bring music, dress the part and/or be as creative as you want to be to make the transitions between presenters fun. Teams must submit all scripts the day of the presentation.

Create a presentation of your neighborhood using recently learned vocabulary. Label at least ten stores/services in Spanish. Recommend 5 places in your neighborhood that a tourist should visit (ex: favorite restaurant etc..) Finally, tell what you like the most about your neighborhood and what needs to improve.

Spanish video "Soap-Opera using the Preterite"
Students will create a "Spanish video" that will be 4 to 5 minutes in length. Choices include: a game show, a newscast, weather report, a soap-opera, a talk show, etc. The video must include at least one original commercial in Spanish. All members of the team will contribute and participate in the video. Script and Video due 10/3/11.

Mi Familia Ideal
Describe family members(12 people). The descriptions will involve a minimum of 5 sentences, it will include a photo or picture. The family tree will not be linear in design, but will be an imaginative/creative project. For example, the entire pizza is the family, but the salami or olive represents the individual family members. Students must say what the relation is between the relative and themselves, their age, what they like and what they don't like and a brief description of the relative.
