Students need to demonstrate that they can create original artworks using the techniques and processes of oil painting.

To improve the student's confidence in the ability to communicate and execute original personal and visual ideas in his/her chosen medium.

The student will create a relief printmaking block using carved linoleum. The student will print an edition of 3 signed, numbered, and dated prints.

This assessment shall be given to students who have been taking airbrush training as a means of self expression.

This project challenges eighth graders to abstract an animal shape and put it together as a 3 dimensional sculpture using cardboard and an slit and fit method of construction. They must also use their knowledge of color theory and the elements and principles of art in a manner that is identifiable and makes their sculpture more visually powerful.
