Students will be required to watch and analyze this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=faRlFsYmkeY) which is a cartoon that misrepresents evolution. Students will need to create their own cartoon strips that explains two things divided into two separate cartoons. The first cartoon strip must point out 5 mistakes from the Simpsons video, and the second cartoon strip must involve 5 major concepts from the unit. Each cartoon strip must have a minimum of 5 frames and a maximum of 10 frames. Students may draw, use clip art, cut out magazine images, or a combination of those different techniques to illustrate their cartoon. Great artistic craftsmanship is not expect but it is welcomed, however I must see that effort was used in creating this not just stick figures. Each cartoon must have two paragraphs to explain each cartoon strip and how they pertain to evolution. I will not grade any cartoons that contain vulgar material or do not pertain to this assignment.
