This rubric is used to assess the students' use of the engineering design process for designing a landfill liner.

Students will create a presentation that shows how to improve landfills.

This rubric is meant to help guide in the creation of your Popplet presentation project. Each category in the far left column will be taken into consideration when grading your assignment. Review the rubric carefully before, during, and after the creation of your project to make sure that you have included everything you need.

This rubric will help students develop a shortened condensed version of news articles.

This rubric has been designed to assess student's on task performance during classroom instruction. Students may gain points. 20 points will replace 1 quiz grade or may be used as extra credit within a 6 week period. This rubric is completed weekly.

How Jigsaw works: Students read a section of a given reading independently writing down three key concepts and any vocabulary words. Second, students meet in same groups to discuss their key concepts, vocabulary terms, and their similarities and differences. As a group they pair down all of their key concepts to two or three group key concepts (that may look different from any one individuals key concepts). Lastly, students are put into mixed groups where there is one person from each section of the reading. Collectively they each take turns teaching the others on their section. Students from the other sections will take notes on the key concepts from the other sections.

The students will put together a brochure and prepare a short presentation. The brochure will contain information that the students collected regarding Energy Conservation when building a home. The students presentation must be aligned with the brochure.
