This rubric is designed for a Spanish 1 oral presentation in which they will be presenting a skit in Spanish. The skit is based off the unit's vocabulary of travel, giving directions, and grammar points covered. Students will conduct a phone conversation in which they will give one another directions of how to get from one place to another in a city.

The students are to create a children's book or write and illustrate a story in French. The story must be 9 pages long, with 2 sentences per page.

Presentation for Unit 3 -Describe a house. Name the different rooms in a house, objects found in rooms, use adjectives, use hay/no hay, es/son, tiene/tienen.

Students compose a mini-story about themselves. Included should be name, birthday, physical characteristics, likes and dislikes, family/friends, hobbies, interests, vacation/career/or life plans. These sentences are to be typed in Spanish and submitted in the form of a booklet or power point presentation. Rough draft must be submitted in advance. Color illustrations, drawings or clip-art should be shown, relating to the sentences. Use of an on-line translator results in a zero score for the project.

This poster will use four sentences that show the contrasting uses of ser and estar in Spanish.

The student will choose a French music artist to research for a class presentation where he/she must speak about the artist and play a song. The student will create a picture slide show to support his/her presentation. The song will be explained to the class using French pictures and gestures. Ten verbs will be presented by poster with wthe translation.

Pick a Spanish speaking country. Make a google doc presentation to share with nicolthebaut@mvms.org. Every slide must include an image and the verb hay (there is or there are) describing the image. NO TRANSLATORS allowed. You can look up words, not sentences. Example Hay playas bonitas. (There a beautiful beaches) Hay comida. (There is food)
