Journal entries MUST be 5-7 sentences. No more. No less. If you are absent, write the word "absent" across the page for the date you missed. You will not need to make-up that entry. If your journal is missing 2 pts. (see scoring) will be deducted for each missing day. No exceptions. You will still need to complete your journal on a sheet of paper and staple it into journal. If you lose your journal, you are responsible for replacing it.

Greene Midterm Assignment for Worldviews and Values on the Advantages and Disadvantages of Taking a Philosophical Approach to Problem-solving

Using an online comic strip generator or drawing by hand, each student will create a comic strip to show understanding of a mathematical concept using the appropriate math vocuabulary in the comic strip dialog. Research the approved topic. Submit one 7-10 page typed paper, double spaced, 12 point font following MLA guidelines. Include a bibliography citing at least 5 resources used researching the paper. (use quotes from all 5)sources should include a news paper, professional journal, your text and two other books. Quotes can not be more than 5 lines. You are encouraged to interject your personal opinion into this paper.

People often express their feelings about historical issues or events through artwork such as songs, novels, short stories, paintings, sculptures and movies. For this project you will do two things: 1. You will choose a work of art which someone else has created. You will research the ARTIST and analyze the artist's artwork.

Students will develop a dance or group of movements that teach peers about the main functions and organs of a specific body system.

The student will create a multi media presentation to represent their research on a topic of interest dealing with the influence of the media. This could be a power point, brochure, catalog ad or poster format.

Students are to write a short story that demonstrates their understanding of the stages of plot and the characteristics of a short story. Students must have a warning and a consequence in the story.

Student will give a 1 minute minimum speech on a topic selected from the assignment instruction sheet. The assignment is posted in the communication folder. This is your first speech and will be graded lightly in comparison to future speeches and presentations.

Instructions: Students may team up with one other student and organize a debate that is relevant to the topic given. Debate must last for a minimum of 30 minutes.

Instructions: Student must create a song that is relevant to the topic given. The song must be a minimum of 2 minutes long. The song must meet the rubric guidelines.

"This assignment is for a beginning level statistics class on the unergraduate level. Each group will prepare a tri-fold poster to represent their topic. Each group presentation shall include a tri-fold poster prepared by the group illustrating the group’s information and understanding of good ServSafe practices.
