The students will create a presentation on their family ethnic group and history.

Student is to "write" a diary of a generic immigrant (1892-1940) that reflects accurately the experiences a person from this time period could/would have experienced. Use knowledge gained from the text and classroom activities to create the diary entries as you think that person would have experienced.

Student will write diary entries in the persona of an immigrant coming to the United States. It will describe your arrival to America. The purpose of this assignment is to describe what happened to you and your family when you traveled to and landed at Ellis Island or Angel Island. You will write three separate journal entries that are at least one page long. Across the journal entries you may address the following ideas/issues.

This is a rubric for pictures taken for a scavenger hunt in historic Girard.

Students will create at least a 15 word crossword puzzle about the assigned body system. The puzzle must be the student's original work and should include key vocabulary and functions of the system.

Students will be evaluated on the following criteria; Organization - Report flows logically, Content News report explains issue, Graphics - utilized, focused on audience, Grammar- Correct, Clarity - audible
