The student will write a 200-300 word essay analyzing the value of nursing standards as they relate to patient safety and the affect on stakeholders, to include the advancement of the profession of nursing.

The student will utilize the SWOT format, in a 200-300 word essay to formulate a plan for integration of professional standards into personal practice. Additionally, the essay will include a plan for addressing unprofessional behavior of coworkers and fellow students.

The student will write a 200-300 word essay discussing the consequences of unprofessional behavior by nursing students. The essay will include direct consequences for the student, as well as indirect consequences to stakeholders.

Each student will research a disease and devise and interdisciplinary careplan. The care plan will include four healthcare related disciplines including nursing. The patient information sheet will identify links related to these professions and their diagnosis within social media. An informational sheet is to be presented to the class via Blackboard.

It requires students to be able to assess their own ethical values and the social context of problems, recognize ethical issues in a variety of settings, think about how different ethical perspectives might be applied to ethical dilemmas and consider the ramifications of alternative actions. Students’ ethical self identity evolves as they practice ethical decision-making skills and learn how to describe and analyze positions on ethical issues. With a partner, role play an interaction between nurse and client using the therapeutic communication skills that you have learned. Video record a 5-10 minute video of the interaction. The patient scenario can be of your choosing. Provide a brief description of the patient situation at the beginning of the video. Following the completion of your video, watch it back and complete a written analysis of the interaction, noting verbal and non verbal messages (were they congruent?), communication skills used (which were effective and which could be added or improved upon?), and the overall effectiveness of the nurse-client interaction.

This rubric is for grading student's written essay.

Research the topic of your choice using primary and secondary sources to report on an area of criminal justice that you want to know more about. Submit one 25-30 page typed paper, double spaced, 12 point font following APA 6th guidelines. Include a bibliography and abstract citing at least 7 resources used researching the paper. Paper will be graded on quality of research to support the topic, effective use of information gained through research, credibility of sources, content, grammar and mechanics, and bibliography.
