For this assignment, you will write a newspaper article.Pretend you are a reporter and write a newspaper article based on a climactic event in your novel. Include answers to the questions; who, what, where, when, why and how. Your article must address all five "Ws:" who, what, where, when, and why. In addition, your article must have a headline and illustration with caption.

Create a map of the setting from the novel.

Create an alternate ending.

Create a scrapbook for one of the characters of your book using events and other characters from the story. Your scrapbook should have at least four pages including these components: brief summary of the story, two images with captions of your character displaying good citizenship, a graphic of your choosing using traits to describe your character, and a letter written to one of the other characters in the story. Be colorful and creative.

Students will write a letter and place it in a bottle. The letter will be written from the perspective of one of the characters and include evidence from the text that supports the theme.
