Skills Assessment for 12 track and field events

Statement of Inquiry:

The students will put together a poster to show during their oral presentation. The poster will contain examples of three biomolecules: carbohydrates, proteins and lipids. The poster will contain illustrations that demonstrate the chemical structure of each biomolecule and may feature an illustration that represents its function in a living system. The poster will reference a specific biomolecule and its significant function in a living system. Each student will provide a written, graphic or oral presentation that demonstrates their individual contribution to the poster.

Write a personal fitness plan that assesses your current fitness level, sets goals and uses the FITT principle for two components of fitness.

The students will work with 1-2 others to put together a poster that relays important information from the assigned lesson.

Develope a gymnastics routine with the skills taught during class. Include as much as you can.

Students will create a project that positively encourages young people to eat more fruits and vegetables.

Students are required to create their own dances, in groups no larger than five students. Dance routines are required to be one minute in duration. Dance moves learned in class, i.e. line dances, jive, merengue etc, are encouraged to be incorporated in your dance routines.
