Students write a one-page letter in Spanish including the following: name, age, describing yourself, family, school, sports hobbies and holidays celebration.

Informative Speech with powerpoint slides.

The student will be given something to memorize and record or something to recite to the teacher individually. They will be graded on flow, pronunciation, and preparedness.

Students select a meme of their choice. Based on their findings, students write out and orally present an analysis demonstrating their critical thinking and communication skills.

This rubric is to be used to write a reflective essay on an article assigned within the course. Specific questions/points to reflect upon have been provided.

Student self-assessment is “the process by which the student gathers information about and reflects on his or her own learning … [it] is the student’s own assessment of personal progress in knowledge, skills, processes, or attitudes. Self-assessment leads a student to a greater awareness and understanding of himself or herself as a learner” (Ministry of Education, 2002, p. 3).

The students are to describe a sport or free time activity, using appropriate vocabulary.

Students chose a book to read independently and then review. The review incorporates information about the book's characters, setting, plot, genre, theme, and writing style. Students will decide which type of book report they would like to do: paper, powerpoint, website, imovie, or performance.
