Students will choose a criminal to write a poem about. The students will go through the writing process (prewriting, drafting, editing, revising and publishing) to create a poem that contains 4 stanzas with 4 lines in each stanza. The poem will have a consistent rhyme scheme throghout the poem. The student will type their poem and paste it onto a piece of construction paper. On the border around the poem, the student will create symbols that represent their poem.

Students are to create a frontpage of a newspaper, covering the crime and trial of their criminal, by using the information found in texts, articles, journals. The Newspaper should include a full report of the crime, as well as other creative items such as pictures, etc.

Create a collage depicting your criminal. Tese pictures should be from magazines, newspapers, etc. Write a 2-3 sentences explaining your reasons for the pictures included. Collage should be NO SMALLER than 9X13.

Students are to design and produce the front page of their own newspaper. Each student will produce an A3 size newspaper front page. Students will incorporate the major elements into their version of what a ewspaper should be, and the major components of a front page.
