For Black History Month, the student is to read a biography about an African American, and then write and present a biography poster on this important historical figure. This biography includes information about the person's life, what led them to their chosen career or purpose, what contributions they made to society, interesting or unique facts about the person, and the student's own reflections about the impact that the person and their contributions have on modern times.

Writing about Greece

Student will create a concept map demonstrating the relationships between people who are all different.

Objective: Students will read each sentence and figure out whether the verb is in the past, present, or future tense. lower students will be able to identify present tense verbs with past tense verbs through matching exercise. This will include some irregular verbs tenses.

Students are writing sentences that follow a specified verb tense. Sentences need to properly follow that verb tense. All sentences must begin with a capital letter and have proper end punctuation.
