The student will work with a partner and put together a hanging mobile for display. The hanging mobile will contain relevant information directly related to their GOOD FIT BOOK

Directions: You will first be assigned one state from a region. Next, you will have to conduct research using your selected book, internet, and or additional resources. You will need to find at least two famous people from that state and write about them. Example, state flag, state capital, state motto. Example, write short sentence about each of those topics. There are dozens of topics to write about involving each state.

The purpose of this rubric is to allow the student to know what the expectations are for writing this comparing/contrasting paragraph. This rubric will help me, the teacher, to assess student writing and inform further instruction.The student will compare and contrast two countries finding similarities and differences.

Student persuasive essay that uses facts to back up their argument. TEK-ELA 4.19 Students will write persuasive texts to influence the attitudes or actions of a specific audience on specific issues. 4.19A Students will write persuasive essays for appropriate audiences that establish a position and use supporting details.

This is a poster identifying five figures of speech and an example of each.

Biography should include important details of the person's life and the contributions he/she made to the community/country. A project will be completed on this person including: personal information and background, biggest obstacles, and their significance and contribution to Black history.

The student will demonstrate how well they know the character by presenting a character wanted poster about a character in the book from their Book Report Book.

Students will think or choose a day that they liked and write a one-minute report describing the day's weather. Then they will present the report to their classmates.

Students will be able to define homophones and give examples of homophones. Students will demonstrate correct usage and spelling of homophones.
