Rubric on Oral Presentation using Visuals

This rubric will evaluate how students work in the classroom in terms of completion, follow directions, and time management.

You are building your dream home! You will design a home with at least 8 labeled rooms in different formats. You can build a diorama, draw it on poster board, or make a mobile.

Reading aloud a Spanish story. This is intended for a beginner Spanish level class. It is also used with the AIM method of teaching Spanish.

A Spanish conversation between two students meeting each other for the first time.

Students will be able to write one to two sentences to answer the question, “What is your favorite day”? Students will be able to answer this question by using prior knowledge and by listening to classeroom readings.

Vocabulary Builder: Students will define, illustrate a new vocabulary term as well as use the new vocabulary in a context appropriate sentence.

Completion of set tasks. Student must complete with 80% in order to pass.

Create a one-month calendar page of your birthday month. Label it in Spanish with the name of the month, and the days of the week. Finally, label/ mark the calendar with Spanish holidays and "my birthday/mi cumpleaños".

Students will create a one-page illustration of their family tree, using pictures of their family and labeling family members as indicated by rubric (family label). Your family tree will include at least 5 family members and one (of course) can be a pet! Also, one picture and description will be of you! You will introduce yourself and describe all the members of your family tree, providing name and age to the class (in Spanish, of course).
