This Rubric will assess your performance in bringing together research and designing an iBook.

This rubric is designed to assess the presentation of the group activity. The rubric should consider the performance of the group as a whole, as well as individual contributions.

Each student will research a person from Kansas and then act as that character. You must dress as the character and complete research about this person. You will have a note card to help assist you with what you need to say, but you should memorize as much as possible since "you are the character".

We are going to explore the collection of species within an ecosystem. Students will need to state the species scientific name. Students will also have to discribe the interconnected relationships of the species of their choice. Key Points: that energy driving the ecosystem comes from the sun the web of life is contunually dying and feeding other sections of the ecosystem that diversity assures resilience.

All students will be required to make a visual display that reflects the research they have done and the information they have gathered on a state of the United States.

Endangered Animals and Their Habitats

1-4 Rubric for Elementary Project and Presentation

Choose a book about an endangered animal, create a poster that includes all of the information listed on this rubric.

Grade 4 is beginning a new science unit on our Solar System. For our project, students will create a 3-dimensional model of the solar system. The planets should be in the correct order and be relatively proportioned to each other (example: Mars should not be bigger than Jupiter). The sun should be included as part of the solar system. All planets should be clearly labeled in some way and students should be able to tell us a little information about each planet.

Your task is to create a poster with a family tree, label it,to at least the third generation. You MUST be included in your family tree. You must include the names of all your family members and how old they are, and birthdates. You will be required to write a description for 5 members in your family. For these descriptions you must provide 3 sentences for each describing what the look like(tall, short,eye color,hair color) their personality,etc.
