Students will write a research report based on an assigned Saint. Objectives: To define a saint as someone who strives to follow God's commandment to love Him, ourselves, and others; To recognize saints as role models; To begin to develop life goals that reflect the teachings of Christ and emulate the Saints.

The students will work to put together a poster for display. The poster will contain relevant information directly related to their assigned Composer. Students will collect pictures and other artifacts for their poster to create a creative and colorful poster. The poster will be designed on a single sheet of poster paper no larger than 22"x 28".

Guidelines for Expository Writing

The purpose of this rubric is to allow the student to know what the expectations are for writing a comparing/contrasting essay.

Choose a day in the life of a crusader from the Middle Ages, write a page in your journal pretending you lived then. Cover page should include a picture of you in the garments you would have worn. Research things such as where and how you lived. Include things like: residence, things you would eat, clothing, social status- money/position, type of things you may be involved with-war, church, plague... Write at least 3 paragraphs using chronological order.
