A competency based course following the 2011 Addiction rubrics ATTC, under V: Counseling, Element III: Counseling family, couples, and significant others #94-98

Students analyze their chosen business for key ethical issues. Prior to this exercise, they will have created a 10 point code of ethics to address specific areas that need ethical guidance. They create a policy manual that uses the 10 point code to convey desired ethical behavior to their employees.

LGBTQ Peer Counseling Services provide peer counseling on the coming out process, dating, gender identity, LGBTQ information and referral for the Philadelphia area. Peer counselors are available by phone or in-person (by appointment). Monday – Friday from 6 – 9 pm, providing confidential and free peer counseling services. The purpose of the evaluation is to determine if the training currricula adquately prepares peer counselors with the knowledge, experiences, and values that peer counselors should possess to provide qulaity peer counseling services to lesbian, gay,bisexual, transgender and queer persons and their families.Ruberic is based on the following study: Godfrey, K., Haddock, S., Fisher, A. and Lund, L. Substance abuse problem that will be addressed by the group Any pastoral, spiritual, theological elements of the issue and how dynamic of group will address or will be included, at least 2 peer reviewed articles on current issues/problem, academic texts, or personal interviews

Evaluates the key components of an effective oral presentation. Based on cultural anthropology and introduction to Native American Studies as academic discipline to include historical development, theories, models, and methodology. NASD 110

Students will be research all classifications of drugs then sharing the collected information about each drug with the class.

Each Capstone student must include a personal statement of ethics, exhibiting an understanding of personal beliefs, and the impact of the ethical journey.

Criteria in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Health Disorders (DSM). Questions and answers are designed to give professionals the information they need to plan appropriate treatment. Includes Presenting problem, physical examination, social/family history, mental health history, alcohol/drug history, legal history, sexual/suicidal risks, cultural background, Diagnostic criteria, and recommendations/referrals

Students will be researching two chosen drugs in small groups then sharing the collected information about the drug with the class. The research paper should include the classification; proper name; street names; methods of consumption; history; effects on physical, mental/emotional, and social health; uses; and demographics (what types of people--some factors to consider would be race, gender, economic status, location, occupation, sexual orientation, etc.) of users.

This rubric will be used to determine effectiveness of your narrative essays exploring the subdisciplines of anthropology.
