Student will be required to place five representative items in a bag to present while giving an oral presentation. The outside of the bag should be decorated, and the students should find a quote from the book to share on a sentence strip.

Students will create a word problem based on a practical situation in a real world context. They must include an equations as well as show the solution to the problem. Students will read and write for meaning and application in their own lives.

After you have read your book, pretend it has been made into a movie. Create a poster advertising your movie. Be sure to include the setting and main characters. (YOU CANNOT COMPLETE THIS PROJECT IF YOUR BOOK HAS ALREADY BEEN ADAPTED TO A MOVIE.)

Choose a book. Read it. Select a container (a box, bag, or other creative container will do) that will hold five small items. Decorate the container to match the ideas in your book (include the title, author, and your name). Choose five items that represent ideas in your book (plot, setting, characters, problem, solution, ...) and put them in the container. Prepare an explanation for how each one connects to the book. Bring your container to school and present it to your classmates for 3-5 minutes. Turn it in when you're finished.
