This is the rubric used to score the science lab report writings in this class. The final grade is based on your lab report writing. Remember, the lab report assignment counts towards your overall classwork grade which is 35% of your final grade.

Use the "Scientific Writing Checklist for Lab Reports" to create your lab report. Each of the eight sections in the checklist will be evaluated to compile an overall 45% classwork/project grade. Use this rubric to help you critique your lab report so that you may get the highest score possible.

Students have been assigned two elements for which the will research and determine their elements properties, history, and uses. Properties include the element's symbol, name, atomic number, atomic mass, state at room temperature, boiling point, melting point, and density. Uses include its primary and secondary uses. The element's history includes when, where, how and by whom it was discovered. The project is DUE ON FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 28.
