Write a paragraph to convince people that we should eat hots dogs instead of on Thanksgiving!

A Pet for Miss Wright

The students will match numbers written in standard form with numbers in expanded form and written form, using 16 different numbers.

Objective: Students will demonstrate an understanding of money denominations & exchanges up to $1.00 using illustrations/pictures. Standard: Calculate the value of coins that equal $1.00

The student will identify important events from the beginning, middle, and end from the book Charlie the Ranch Dog. Students will use illustrations and details from the book to describe sequence of events.

Students will research one of the six kingdoms, randomly assigned. Using Animoto to complete your presentation make sure to include. Students research will include classifications Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus, Species. The project is DUE ON Monday, April 22. Late projects will lose 10 points daily. There will be no projects accepted after Wednesday, May 24.

This lesson will cover American Presidents. We will be able to conduct research on a chosen president and create an Animoto presentation answering 14 points discussed.

You are to create a 31st story. Create you own unique character and write and illustrate their unique story. The chapter must be at least 3 pages, typed, but can be longer is necessary. Please use correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling.

Your job is to create a poster that would convince others to travel to your planet or other object in the solar system (i.e. the sun, a moon, the asteroid belt, etc.). You should include some basic facts about your planet, what people could do if they choose to vacation there, and what adaptations you will provide for them so that they can survive. You will present your poster to the class.

United States Becomes a World Power: Spanish-American War.

Students will take their knowledge of our solar system and create a 3-dimensional model of it. The planets should be in the correct order and be relatively proportioned to each other. This project is worth 200 points and is due April 8. Each student will have to present their project to the class, so they should come prepared to discuss how their 3-D solar system model was created and be able to discuss the solar system and a little about each planet.

Students will create the boat assigned to their group and include facts from today and the past.

Students become the president of the United States. They will have to include who is on their staff, what their responsibilities are, and what they would like to do as president of the United States. They will research what a president does and then they will present it to the class using Comic Life. This is an introduction to learning about different presidents and what a president does.

After reading Sideways Stories from Wayside School, the student is asked to create a mind map that demonstrates their understanding of the text.
