Select one character from your 1930’s/Great Depression novel and create a scrapbook that character may have kept. In addition to your novel you will be using any information from class (notes, ppt’s, videos, handouts) as well as outside research to complete this assignment. You will need to include a works cited page in your scrapbook as well. Given a variety of literary terminology and reading strategies, students will understand the depths of a work of literature. Given a time period in history, students will examine and analyze the experience of people living in America during this time and the strategies used to challenge American policy.
