The criteria for the students in Dance Techniques Classes focuses on technique, performance quality, choreographic skills, and working as an artist and student.

Dance students will perform a chosen dance from our world dance unit and perform in front of the class. They will begin the presentation with a brief introduction about the dance. The students should explain the title of the dance, what country it is from, why it is performed and what the dancers wear in the dance. After the introduction the dance students will perform this world dance with knowledge of the steps and performance quality.

This rubric is designed for the Beginning Modern Dance Technique class for grades 9-10.
