Assessment of biography book report

You will create a billboard on standard poster board that encourages others to vote for you. You will then present your billboard to the class. Your project will be due 5/13. You will plan your billboard by following and completing the steps outline on the presidential campaign poster sheet. Then add these items to your billboard.

You will design a comic book on simple machines. Your comic will need to include at least 3 simple machines and their functions. Necessary components: a title page, colorful illustrations, captions, and word bubbles. This comic book should be neat and creative. You also need to invent a compound machine in this story made up of 2-3 simple machines. Lastly you will design an actual simple machine visual prompt. Have fun with this assignment!

This is a multiple paragraph book report on a nonfiction (true) book and should be limited to one page. Name, date and period number should be in the upper right hand corner of the page. Include the title and author of the book and a complete description of what the book is about. Describe the settings, main events and a review of key ideas. Provide an opinion and explain why you enjoyed or disliked the book.

Follow the directions from Moodle. Course: Geology/Astronomy, Unit: Earth & Our Solar System. Make a scale 3D model of that celestial object within our solar system and present your model to the class.

Fiction book report

You will be required to write a rough draft and a final typed draft your student bill of rights. It must include 7-10 rights that are clear and concise. You will have to first write the right (1-2 sentences) and then in paragraph format explain why the right is important to you and other students (5-7 sentences).

Students are to perform an experiment which can be conducted at home. Projects must include a problem, hypothesis, research, step by step experiment instructions and a method to display data. Students state their conclusion explaining if the experiment supported their hypothesis. Students also discuss why they choose this experiment. All information must be typed and presented on a poster board.

This is a book report on a nonfiction (true) book of students choice.

The students will put together a recruitment poster for one of the 13 original colonies persuading people to settle in their colony. The poster will contain the name of their colony, year it was founded, at least three pictures of the colony, and at least five convincing reasons why immigrants should settle in their colony.

Grade 3 is beginning a new science unit on Our Solar System. For our project, students will take their knowledge of our solar system and create a 2-dimensional or 3-dimensional model of it. The planets should be in the correct order and be relatively proportioned to each other (example: Mars should not be bigger than Jupiter). The sun should be included as part of the solar system. All planets should be clearly labeled in some way with at least one fact about that planet included. This is a project meant to not only see how students view the solar system, but to also showcase their creativity. Students are encouraged to use color and to get creative while learning. This project is worth 30 points and is due October 29. Each student will have to present their project to the class, so they should come prepared to discuss how their 2-D or 3-D solar system model was created and be able to share/discuss a little about each planet.
