Research the approved topic. Submit one 2-3 page typed paper, double spaced, 12 point font following MLA guidelines. Include a bibliography citing at least 3 resources used researching the paper. You are encouraged to interject your personal opinion into this paper. Paper will be graded on quality of research to support your thesis, effective use of information gained through research, credibility of sources, content, grammar and mechanics, and bibliography.

Submit one 5-6 page typed paper, double spaced, 12 point font following APA guidelines. Include a bibliography and abstract citing at least 5 resources used researching the paper. Paper will be graded on quality of research to support the topic, effective use of information gained through research, credibility of sources, content, grammar and mechanics, and bibliography.

Your college research paper must be accompanied by a short (5-7 Min) presentation. Refer to rubric for expectations of excellence. If you need help with resources, please contact me. Total available points 100 + 25 extra credit.

When writing your one paragraph short answer for the exam, this is what your answer will be graded on. Short answer paragraphs are worth ten points each for a total of 50 points.

Concept maps as an assessment tool to measure one aspect of achievement, the organization of propositional (declarative) knowledge in a domain. Students are to determine main ideas surrounding the concept of United States entry into WWI and supporting ideas for each concept. The Concept maps will also be used to summarize "Oppositions and Consequences" of the War.

Write a persuasive argument on a topic of your choosing. The persuasive essay must contain at least 5 fully developed paragraphs. The paper must include proper MLA parenthetical citations.

Students will read two books of at least 200 pages each, written by the same author but not in the same series, and present a 5-paragraph report comparing and contrasting the books. The first paragraph will be the introduction, the second paragraph will explore the similarities between the books, the third paragraph will explain how the books are different, the fourth will explain which book is better and why, and the fifth paragraph will be the conclusion. Students will have an extra typed copy to be projected on the board during the presentation, or 10 points will be deducted from the final grade. 10 points will be deducted if this self-graded rubric is not turned in with the presentation.
