Poetry on Social Issue/ Reading of Poetry

Essay will examine the style of a poet we have read together in class. In this essay, you will you analyze the poet's use of literary elements (parts of the poem and figures of speech) and use this analysis to interpret the style of the author. In other words, what is a good description of the poet's style and what are two elements that are used similarly in the poetry that help to contribute to that style?

Students will give a persuasive speech to their peers. They will be assessed on use of persuasive language, content and style of delivery.

This rubric is designed to evaluate student surveys of 10 people on various topics. The student will tell where the survey was performed. Give the five questions asked in the survey with answers separated by gender. The information is summarized and student draws conclusions from the survey answers.
