Research Project will be graded on suffiency of research to support the thesis, effective use of information gained through research, credibility of sources, and relevance of included information. One-third of the grade will be based on organization, clarity, use of transitions, appropriate voice, correct citation format, grammar, spelling and punctuation.

The concept of this assessment rubric is to broaden students' understanding on the concept of culture. The instructor will ask students' a series of guiding questions; that will assist them in identifying the value system, language, and practices that were embedded in them, since they were young children. Students' will compare and contrast their lifestyles and identity in their homeland, and the way in which they live today in America.

Students' will be placed in groups of two and they will create a media presentation that uses graphics, images, and/or sound effects to present a point of view on the culture they identify with and the culture they are now assimilating into.
