Students will create a diorama (completed at home) of their selected animal's habitat, complete a research summary (completed at home), and present their diorama and summary to the class on the due date above.

Students are selecting an animal, researching and writing about their animal, and designing a poster cube to aid them in their oral presentation. The presentation should tell about where their animal lives, what their animal eats, what their animal looks like, and any predators that their animals may have. Students should focus on their animal's speed and motion in order to do comparison's between their animal and animals their classmates are reporting on.

Students will use this rubric as they write a short research paper about a topic. It will be their grading rubric when the paper is completed.

Students will create a diorama of their selected animal's habitat, answer questions in the Habitat Research Project Packet (completed in class), and orally share their diorama and research packet with the class on due date.
