Students must design a Halloween safety poster using Pic Collage on the iPads illustrating three the safety rules discussed in class.

Students will choose a community worker and decide in which community they would belong. They will then illustrate their community worker in their community using labels. The students will write a few sentences explaining who their community worker is, which community they belong to, what kinds of tools they use, whether they provide goods or services and how they contribute to the community. Each student’s paper will they be compiled in to a communities book for our classroom library.

Write an information report on an animal from one of the 5 animal groups. You must include several facts about the animal & pictures of the animal in its habitat. Include any other interesting information.

Identifies key social, economic and political factors leading to Confederation. Using the historical inquiry process is able to investigate three significant reasons explaining how Canada became a nation.

The country’s location,sport,craft/creative arts,famouspeople,main industries, interesting facts,statistics,population, education, tourism, animals, important events, landscape, food, economy/wealth, famous places, plants,transport, clothing, traditions,history, government, weather, language or music. After you have developed a detailed description of your country, you will develop a lap book/display about your country.

After researching a Canadian Province/Territory, students must complete a travel brochure to convince people to come to their region. The brochure must include aspects of the region's population, climate, natural resources and interesting places to visit.

Students will utilize book resources to learn about traditions, and holiday customs around the world. Students will discover and learn about the multiple cultures that make up the world in which we share.

Students will collaborate with a partners to promote a healthy eating message for students their age.
