Create a play list of music (5 song minimum) that you think one of the main characters would put on their Ipod. Explain why the character would choose each of the songs.

As 1/3 of the "Artist/Producer" Project, students are required to create a mock album cover. The students were given a list of minimum information and formatting requirements, but were allowed the creative freedom to design the aesthetics of the album art to the artist's liking.

3.2 The student will investigate and understand spacecraft and/or satellites. Key concepts include: a) types of spacecraft or satellite propulsion such as rockets and rocket motors b) Use of solar power if needed c) examples of spacecraft and satellites through research.

Student will give a 2 minute minimum speech on a topic selected from the assignment instruction sheet. The assignment is posted in the communication folder. This is your first speech and will be graded lightly in comparison to future speeches and presentations.

Using an online comic strip generator or drawing by hand, each student will create a comic strip to show understanding of a specific, assigned mathematical concept. Students are writing shape poem as a means of connecting parts of speech to writing.

Over the course of reading our novel, you have written numerous personal narratives. For the final personal narrative assignment, you will choose one of your narratives and develop it into a polished piece of writing.

Create an advertisement for a food that you would find in a healthy diet. Use pictures, words and numbers.

Students will provide concise answers to content-based questions about the lesson. They will follow the format provided and use examples for support.

Construct a model of the digestive system using clay and household items. Use original materials (not a store bought model) to construct the system.

Students will research a culture using the ABCs of Culture list, create a poster displaying the required information, and present the finished product.

Your job is to create a poster that would convince others to travel to your planet or other object in the solar system (i.e. the sun, a moon, the asteroid belt, etc.). You should include some basic facts about your planet, what people could do if they choose to vacation there, and what adaptations you will provide for them so that they can survive. You will present your poster to the class.

Students collect data by conducting a survey. Then they create either a bar graph or pictograph to display data.

Students will create a 3-dimensional model of it. The planets should be in the correct order and be relatively proportioned to each other (example: Mars should not be bigger than Jupiter). The sun should be included as part of the solar system. All planets should be clearly labeled in some way. Students are encouraged to use color and to get creative while learning. Each student will have to present their project to the class, so they should come prepared to discuss their model.

Students will give an informative speech on a topic of their choice to their peers. They will be assessed on content and delivery.

Students will research, plan, and compose a speech in which their performance will be evaluated in terms of specific standards set in class, including the clarity and completeness of your speech and the quality of your presentation in explaining your topic matter. Non-verbal communication is highlighted. Students will have 3 to 4 minutes to deliver the speech.

This rubric will be used to evaluates student assignments such as labs, classwork, homework, and observations.
