Autobiographical/Reflective Journal

Journal entries should be personal and reflective. The purpose of the journal is to reflect on events in your personal experience. Entries should be 10 minutes of continuous writing and 200 words in length minimum. While mechanics and spelling are not evaluated, mistakes should not interfere with the reader's comprehension of the entry.

Musical Composition

Students will use common rhythms and simple melodic gestures to compose a 8-16 measure composition in either 3/4 or 4/4 time. Students will have numerous class periods to complete the assignment. Students will also turn in a self reflection describing the cognitive process they used in developing their composition.
